Benny-

So disappointing to hear your news... I know how difficult this is for you- I had 2 miscarriages myself last year. One was a blighted ovum - the second was at 8 weeks (had heartbeat at 7 weeks).

I also have PCOS and was on metformin/baby aspirin. It is not really common for PCOS to cause the miscarriages - especially if you are on metformin (which significantly reduces the risk of miscarriage).

I have a couple of questions. 1. Did you have a D&C? If so they should have sent the baby for testing - this way you will know if the miscarriage was chromosomal or if the baby was okay and something else caused the miscarriage. 2. If the testing comes back normal - I would recommend getting immune testing done to make sure you don't have immune issues that are causing the problems. A great web site for researching immune related miscarriages is http://www.rialab.com

I found out that immune issues were the reason that I miscarried and am happy (and much relieved) to say that today I am 18w 1d pregnant and expecting in November.

There are so many things that can cause a miscarriage - so don't put yourself through the agony and guilt of wondering if you could have prevented it by taking the baby aspirin. That isn't fair to yourself.

Take care....
