If my mother had/has PCOS in her family, it was evident in her at 10/11. We'll never know because they hadn't recognized it at that point, but it would be interesting for researchers to go through our parents, aunts and grandparents medical histories looking for symptoms. Mine could be on both sides of the ancestry as I suspect my Dad/Grandfather are Syndrome X and my dad's sister PCOS, but also my Mom too.
