Just incase you didn't know about this; I know my state did a poor job of promoting the progam. Children under 18 can be eligible for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIPS). This program is designed for working families without health insurance so the income guidelines are much higher than Welfare Programs. You can find out about this and other programs in your state at http://www.insurekidsnow.gov/. Good luck with your daughter.
