Briefly, I am opposed to any synthetic hormones. I support the use of bio-identical hormone supplementation if needed. I consider even the prescribing of synthetics as malpractice when the natural forms are readily available. This is just a way for pharmaceutical companies to make vast profits at the expense of our health.

I also have learned over the past 30 years to not trust published medical studies. I worked in medical research and watched doctors fake data to get the outcome they wanted. Certainly not the majority of them, but enough to make me mistrust any of the published studies. I find it interesting that this so-called evidence-based medical sytem we have in this country does not take into account the evidence provided by the patient experience.

You mention Dr. Lee. I suggest you read his books. The information he presents saved me immeasurable suffering over the last 8 years. I am eternally indebted to him. You notice he does not sell or promote any brand of progesterone cream. His goal is education, not profit. He started down this path based on common sense and the experiences of his patients and his premise is founded in the basic biology he learned in college. Another source of interesting information is http://www.natural-progesterone-advisory-network.com. The personal stories of the 2 women who created the site are especially informative.

Most MDs, in my opinion based on working around them for the last 25 years, are undereducated egomaniacs, especially the so-called specialists. I learned long ago that allopathic medicine is very limited and is only one tool in the tool box. The studies you seem to rely on are, for the most part, funded by the companies that stand to make a profit. I would much rather trust what I see with my own eyes and learn from the experience of other women. I never make a recommendation that is not based on my own experience or that of someone I know. That is why I hang out on these boards; I have learned a lot by reading these posts.

No, I don't have a website. I don't feel the need to present regurgitated information. It is much easier to refer people to existing websites and published materials.

Please stop asking me for references. I will not spend my time searching for information that I find questionable to begin with. It is your choice to believe what I say or not. The women who have followed my suggestions have, for the most part, found a good deal of truth.

Yes, I am strongly opinionated. Thank goodness I am allowed that freedom!
