Caroline,

I've taken spiro for nearly a decade. Usually, it takes at least six weeks before you'll see any noticable differences. For me, I noticed that the hair on my legs no longer grew two per follicle, but started growing one per follicle, less coarse, and much lighter in color (they had been black before). I still have to attack the jawline hairs (I use a disposable razor every morning and sometimes in the evening if I'm going out), but I haven't noticed an increase in the amount of hair there. (Usually, you have to have the hair that's already growing removed permanently as spiro won't affect it. It's supposed to help prevent any additional hair to grow, though.)

I didn't really have a problem with oily skin and acne, but that could have been attributed partly to genetics and my age (I'm 42 now). I never had that much trouble with acne when I was a teen.

Shelley
