Stop taking Glucophage for a few days before and after your celebration. The combination is hard on your liver. You will need to drink a lot of water to flush your system. My doctor gave me a written warning to discontinue if I were to have 4 or more drinks. Also you will have less tolerance for alcohol while on Glucophage.
