Hi,

Dianette is supposed to be one of the better BCP for PCOS. Perhaps you could give it a month or two and see if the side effects improve, apparently it takes some time for our hormones to settle down after starting a BCP. If not, would seem that BCP are not for you (they don't agree with everyone).

Are you being treated with an insulin sensitiser like Metformin? Actually this should be the first line of treatment rather than BCP which, while they can assist with symptoms, only mask the problem not doing anything to address the cause of the PCOS.

If you are not taking met, perhaps you could do some research and discuss this with your doctor. Other treatment options include a diet very low in refined carbohydrates, with sufficient protein and healthy fats, and as much regular exercise as you can reasonably manage.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,
