Re: Ortho CyclenFrom: Denise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Jun 2002 06:44:55 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Tangy, Last year I changed my GYN and the new doctor put me on Ortho Cyclen. I was previously taking Nordette. I gave the Ortho Cyclen a chance, about 4 months and I had to change my pill again. My periods were lasting longer, much heavier and my cramps and mood swings were unbearable. Thank goodness for a very tolerable husband!! I called my GYN back and explained what was going on and he put me on LoOvral. Three months later now, my periods are more tolerable, only last a week and my cramps and mood swings are dealable. My GYN told me that not every pill works for every person and most often times a little trial and error needs to be done to find the right one for you. I hope this helps. Good Luck! Denise
