I was taking Gloucophage XR 3pills once a day. From what I understand it is just the genetic form of Metaformin. When i went to the Reprod. Endo and I told him about the Glouphage, he gave me a new prescription for Metaformin and told me to take it 3 times a day, morning, afternoon and night. He said he thinks it has a better effect when it is spread out over the day. Try to take the pills with breakfast lunch and dinner... that is what I do.... hope this helps
