I don't have a publication to share, just my experience. I am 5'3", 105 lbs, and I am insulin resistant. I had an elevated fasting insulin level when I took an IGTT two months ago, and I was immediately put on metformin; I ovulated the first month I was on it. My main symptoms are long cycles and infertility..
