Conception in long cycles

Hi all, I've seen a couple of messages lately expressing concern about conceiving during long cycles. I am familiar with Dr. Thatchers book. In contrast Toni Weschlers book Taking Charge of Your Fertility says long cycles do not pose a problem to egg health. On a personal note my son was conceived during a cycle in which I ovulated at about day 35! It took a little over a year of sort of trying. This is before I had PCOS diagnosed. I did develop gestational diabetes but had a normal vaginal delivery and have a beautiful, healthy 5 year old son. I hope this is of some use or comfort. -Ann
