Build up immunity to Glucophage?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I'm working on the major life change that has to take place now (eating differently, medication, etc.) I am on Spironolactone and Glucophage. I have always had a very active lifestyle and have never been on any long term medication before. I will take the meds diligently for awhile and then forget. It may be days or weeks before I remember to take it and then i'll do really good with it and forget again. I know I need to make this a priority, but my question is, is Glucophage like antibiotics, that if you take it sporadically do you build up an immunity to the meds? (same question for spironalactone) Thanks for your help
