I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I'm working on the major life change that has to take place now (eating differently, medication, etc.) I am on Spironolactone and Glucophage. I have always had a very active lifestyle and have never been on any long term medication before. I will take the meds diligently for awhile and then forget. It may be days or weeks before I remember to take it and then i'll do really good with it and forget again. I know I need to make this a priority, but my question is, is Glucophage like antibiotics, that if you take it sporadically do you build up an immunity to the meds?
