DAIRY is entirely to blame.From: Emily (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 May 2002 01:04:33 -0500 (CDT)
Late last summer, I realized I was sick and tired having little medical problems here and there. I felt that my body was crying out to me, saying: "Look, there's something wrong here..." and that what I was eating had some connection. I since have discovered that the ONE AND ONLY culprit of my PCOS is DAIRY. After trying macrobiotics for a while, I stopped eating any milk products at all, and have since had NO SYMPTOMS of PCOS. My period is regular, the hirsutism is reduced, and my skin has cleared up! I truly adore milk products, so it was a tough reality to face. But sometimes now, when I indulge in a slice of cheesecake or a daub of whipped cream, my skin breaks out. So I know that dairy is the problem. I don't know if cutting out dairy will have the same wonderful effect for you. We all have different chemistries. But I highly recommend you give it a shot! Warmly and with my fingers crossed for anyone with PCOS,
-- EMILY
