You're right - what works for one doesn't work for everyone. I would invite people to look at all the PCOS forums I post to. My point, repeated a good number of times, has been to ask that those who choose to take the pill (and yes, its still a valid choice) not be denigrated for that. I've asked for specific research in regards to the pill being contraindicated, and still haven't seen specific references. That's what I'm asking for. If my posts were reviewed, you'll find I did look, ask around, and haven't found any. How did you notice the response for IR? I'm not saying you didn't have one, but what tests were used to measure it? (I've had problems with certain pills that may have been IR related, but because they were changed immediately without any testing, I can't say for sure that was it.) Maybe I should be plainer: Doctors have to base what they do on measurable facts. Without studies, without women who have *measurable* drops or changes in IR or other specific areas, changing prescribing habits in America is going to be next to impossible. You might say you get it, but a doctor has to base it on something in fact before you can get changes in prescribing.
