Hi Beth,

You may still have the metabolic disease and the hyperandrogenism characteristic of PCOS if you don't show polycystic on ultrasound (was it vaginal?) Dexamethasone is a steroid (glucocorticoid) to suprress the androgen production of your ovaries. This used to be a preferential treatment of PCOS suggested by endocrinologists, but is not considered modern anymore (still it may work). For your info
