Hi Erin,

please note that you do not necessarily need to be on the bc. THere are other ways to ensure your have a regular cycle (cuch as provera/progesteronee tablets for up to 10 days a month - depending on h ow it is prescribed, which will give a withdrawal bleed after you stop taking it). Hopefully you will be one of those people who respond to metformin and your cycles will reguate on it. Then use of BC or provera or whatever, will not be necessary, unless you need/want contraception and choose to use the pill.
