Thank you all for your fast responses. I appreciate them. I was diagnosed with PCOS almost 2 years ago. The only thing my gynecologist who diagnosed me with it did was to put me on birht control. She did run some blood test and do a pelvic exam. She tested my hormone levels, thyroid levels, and insulin. We never did a glucose curve or anything like that though. I have read a few books on it but get such conflicting information. I am still learning a lot about this. My symptoms are no menstrual cycle at all naturally for years at a time (used to be every 4-6 months when I was younger), rapid weight gian very suddenly with a very hard time losing any weight, some male pattern hair growth, depression, fatigue. After going to doctors for 7 years trying to figure out what was wrong with me this was the first doctor that told me that there was actually a cause for all this and not just that I had a hormonal imbalance or that ym hormones just hadn't adjusted themselves yet or that (at 22 then when I gianed 40 pounds in 3 months) that I was just getting older and my metabolism was slowing down. Does Clomid make your cycle regular? As I said I was able to go on Clomid for 2 months. It has been almost 32 days since my last cycle, but since I have never been regular I ma not sure if I should be hoping that possibly in the two months I was on the Clomid it could have possibly worked. I have taken so many pregnancy tests over the years right now I couldn't bear to take another one just yet and get a negative result. I thinking of waiting another 7 days before I decide to test (unless I menstruate by then). Does anyone do the Basil temperature thing? My docotr never mentioned it nor told me how to do it. If anyone could advise me if that helps or if I should be doing it and how please tell me. My mom took Clomid to get pregnant with me. Do you thinkt hat could have any bearing on any of the problems I have in concieving now? Sorry again for it being so long, but there is so much for me to learn.
