Re: bad Dr?From: teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 9 May 2002 21:33:48 -0500 (CDT)
i would definitely check into seeing and re but also give your body time to adjust to the met. a slow and gradual increase of the dosage is better. your body may not need 1500 mg or it may need more. but start out slow. my doctor upped mine to 1000 but wont increase it any more for 3 months and then do bloodwork to see what the dosage is doing. i know its hard to be patient i wanted to jump in and take as much as i could so i can get pregnant but now i know that ultimately its getting my body healthy that will make the difference. my regular dr. is not very up to date on pcos but he will treat my insulin resistance very aggressively so you might try this approach. i am not going to see an re except as a last resort as my obgyn will treat my pcos but some women prefer re and i think they are more agressive in treatment. hope this helps. teresa smith pcos ttc #1
