I tried to find a PCOS physician in my area My doctor yesterday, when I had my first real ultrasound to check what my insides looked like, said I didn't have any cysts either. But when she looked at my ovaries, she said there were many immature follicles. The ovaries looked fairly oval, with many little round circles. I would guess that those are the standard "polycystic ovaries" referred to in PCOS. Your ovaries may be like that but not have any larger fluid-filled cysts. There is literature that shows a cross-section diagram of what polycystic ovaries looked like, and mine looked just like that, although I'm *sure* to the absolute that my doctor said "I don't see any cysts". http://www.pcosupport.org/medical/whatis.php
