Hi Jennifer,

I think that you should see your family physician for a check up. Particuarly as you are still feeling bad even though you have stopped the metformin for a few days.

THis may be a long shot, but dizziness (balance problems - including the problem focusing) and nausea can also be a symptom of an inner ear infection (though it would be a coincidence that it started at the same time - and these are not necessarily painful), or something else.
