Not a lot of gentlemen who are like you. Thanks, Victoria. I'm unusual in a lot of ways, and I generally suffer for it, but I am largely content. I think we live in a society that is weight obsessed, and many people find it hard to avoid or undue the indoctrination. I guess I was lucky. As a child I wasn't allowed to watch television, and I think it gave me an opportunity to learn to think for myself and form my own opinions. Of course I don't mean that people who grew up with television can't form their own opinions, but in some cases the television teaches people so much that they never really question. I think for younger people, much of their indoctrination into our culture (including its negatives) is through TV.
