Hence, taking a bcp with met would stem >ovulation that might otherwise take place Sue When I first started taking MET, and the Dr had given me Spiro at the same time and also BCP, because you aren't supposed to get preganant while on Spiro, my pharmacist explicitly warned me that I should be using a different BC other than BCP, because the MET could "over-ride" the BCP and cause me to get pregnant. Now that was different from what the Dr said, but concerned me enough that I never started taking the Spiro, because of the risks. Cindi
