I am pregnant as well (5 1/2 weeks) and I plan to stay on the glucophage through the entire pregnancy since I have heard of so many women that have done this without any side effects. I also cannot find any studies that consistently prove negative side effects other than the interference with folic acid absorption.

I am taking extra folic acid (3-5mg a day) along with extra b6 and b12 (these help the body metabolize the folic acid). I am also on progesterone supplements (400mg/day).

good luck with your pregnancy!
