No, it isn't. Just lots of people are anti-pill on the internet, especially in regards to PCOS. In addition, Dr. Leon Speroff, a highly regarded doctor who wrote Clinical Gynecologic Endocrinology and Infertility, a book used to teach ob/gyn's and RE's, has information about this. Check out pages 898, 899, 914, 544 and his book on Contraception. I'm sorry to ask this as I'm sure It's been discussed ad nauseum but I still don't get it!!!!!! Why is it bad to use a birth control pill such as Yasmin to help control the hairy symptoms? If I'm following a lower carb-diet and exersising to help control my IR Isn't that doing all I can to help control/treat my condition? (other than the insulin med). I so much want to remain on the BCP because it does help me considerably with the hair thing.
