No, it isn't. Just lots of people are anti-pill on the internet, especially in regards to PCOS. In addition, Dr. Leon Speroff, a highly regarded doctor who wrote Clinical Gynecologic Endocrinology and Infertility, a book used to teach ob/gyn's and RE's, has information about this. Check out pages 898, 899, 914, 544 and his book on Contraception. You'll see diabetics get BCP's.

Hi, I keep hearing that birth control pills are bad for pcosers. I'm sorry to ask this as I'm sure It's been discussed ad nauseum but I still don't get it!!!!!! Why is it bad to use a birth control pill such as Yasmin to help control the hairy symptoms? If I'm following a lower carb-diet and exersising to help control my IR Isn't that doing all I can to help control/treat my condition? (other than the insulin med). I so much want to remain on the BCP because it does help me considerably with the hair thing.
