My regular endocrinologist tried to tell me the same thing, to stop as soon as I was pg, while that has not happened yet, I was ver worried about it so when I started seeing an RE I asked her, she told me that I should continue taking it until I was at least 12 weeks to reduce the chances of miscarriage and possibley through out the entire pg to prevent gestational diabetes. I have also read numerous studies that it reduces the chances of m/c from a very high percent of 45 down to about 9 which is much closer to average. The only thing extra you need to do is take extra folic acid, even more then the amount in a prenatal since the glucophage depletes it from the body. If I were you I would consider finding a dr that will continue you on the medication.

Good luck and congradulations.
