Hi!

I'm taking Spironolactone and Glucophage together. Your switch from 500 mg to 2000 mg is a steep one. That could be why you are feeling so ill. If you continue to feel ill you might want to cut back a bit and raise up to your prescribed dose more slowly.

As for the weight, I'm sure you know this already but Glucophage is not a weight loss drug. It may help you lose weight though when you take it in conjunction with a low carb diet. There are many low carb diets out there. I'm currently doing Atkins -- we're all in this together. Check out http://www.atkinsfriends.com. This has been a very helpful site for me. Take care!
