PCOS what if my doctor failed to notice it when i kept telling him the symptomsFrom: Dawn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Mar 2002 04:30:24 -0600 (CST)
Hi I kept going to the doctor from the age of 14 I'm 21 now and telling him i had problems with my periods. Then in November I went as I had put 2 stone on in 6 weeks and my periods had stopped. He said simply go on a diet i did but still I didn't lose any weight. It is only after 7 years and after seeing a women doctor that I have found out I have polysistic ovaries, they found this from blood tests I have suffered for 7 years just because a doctor wouldn't send me for a blood test. Is there anything I can do at my doctors surgery to make other women aware of PCOS and is there anywhere I can report the doctor to fornot noticing my PCOS sooner? Thank you for reading I really need other peoples help who are in the same situation as knowbody else understands Thanks Again Dawn Listerxxx
