Hi April,

If your Dr's opinion is this on PCOS, you better have a second opinion. Both PCOS and weight gain are the result of a metabolic disturbance called insulin resistance. The treatment of IR is insulin sensitizers (therre are 3 different brands available). BCPs are not very helpful in this condition, but if you need contraception and no other method suits you, you should try one of the antiandrogen BCPs. For your info
