I have been on Androcur for the past 3 months.  I used to be able to grow a
beard better than my husband, but decided that was not for me.  I was not up to
joining a circus and becoming the 'bearded lady' either.  My 12-year-old son was
jealous, but I am not a 12-year-old boy, and never want to be one!  My doctor
said it would take appoximately 4 months for it to start working.  I found the
hair on my face got thinner almost immdeiately.  Furthermore, I found that I do
not have to shave my legs near as often and my underarms no longer need to be
shave at all!  I found this to be a godsend that has helped me with some of the
embarrassing things that go along with PCOS and Thyroid problems.  I am just
waiting for another drug to help me with the PCOS.  By the way, I have read
that it is used to treat Prostate Cancer and to lower a Sexual Deviant's libido!
I have no prostate and (I hope) I am not a sexual deviant.  Therefore it is
being used successfully with me to cure my facial hair problem.  Furthermore, I
take 50 mg 2 times a day, everyday.I wish you good luck and hope it works for you as well as it has worked for me.
