-- Hello, I was on Metformin for about 6 months. I go my period or whatever it was about 2 months after starting Metformin. I bled for about 2 months, finally I finished and then I started again about a week later. I was on that for about another month and then it stopped. The day after it stopped I started getting Period cramps and my breast were really sore. It felt like I was going to get my period again, but I was like "what's up with this, I just finished one". Sure enough I started again. I think that It was a real period though. My doctor and I decided to stop Metformin and swith to Birth Control pills once I stop my period. Not because it doesn't work but because I am 23 and I will be running out of insurance soon and it will be cheaper for me. Also, I don't want to have to take 3pills a day. It is really hard for me. I will probably get back on Metformin when I get older. I still have a lot of hair and I WANT IT TO GO AWAY!! I hate it so much. I was homecoming princess in highschool and now I am some hairy chick. Oh well, I still think that we are beautiful people underneith this stupid disease or whatever it is.
