yasmin and other drug interactionsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 18 Mar 2002 08:48:24 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I just started Yasmin for treatment of PCOS. I have only taken one pill so far, but am also following a low carb diet. I know that you can't take ibuprofen with Yasmin and I know that you have to be careful of potassium intake. My question is about taking a multivitamin. I normally take Centrum, it has 80 mg. of potassium which is 2 percent of daily allowances. I would like to take a multivitamin since I'm concerned about getting adequate nutrition on this low carb diet. Can I take my regular vitamin or should I try to find one with less potassium (if there is one)? I would also appreciate any positive feedback on Yasmin since I am quite nervous about it for some reason. Thank you
