What is he using as a basis for this, medical research wise? If that were true, wouldn't the higher amounts of estrogen in the old pills have caused a big explosion in the rates of PCOS which would have gone down with the newer low dose pills? The pill started at 50 mcg, most are now 20 and 35. What about the different types of estrogen?

Hello people,

I've read many posts below regarding bcps and I just thought I'd let you know that my endo told me that for women w/ elevated testosterone levels and normal estrogen levels, the estrogen from the bcps (both tri-phasic or mono) can be converted into testosterone in the body so that your pcos symptoms may get worse...acne, hair growth, etc...
