Prometrium is a lot milder than Provera and is quite effective. It's oil-based and releases more slowly than Provera. However, I am always tired when I take it. Some women have also found that progesterone cream is effective--I want to find out the name for it and how to get it. The major period you've had is probably because you hadn't shed your utermine lining is such a long time. Alice
