Re: I am a scared, young woman with PCOS and I need helpFrom: Cay (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Mar 2002 10:54:45 -0600 (CST)
I agree with all the ladies it is time to move on - 2 years of infertility you really should see an reproductive endocrinologist (RE). You can work this through, It took us 3 years to concieve - and then we got twins! We went through 2 RE's, and didn't give up. I looked at my infertility as like fighting a battle with cancer- I was not going to give up until I had exhausted every avenue. I wanted no regrets. That was 3 years ago, and there is so much more out there now that can help us, that I didn't have before. I'm excited for us PCO'ers. Don't be scared of making that step to move on to a RE. To me it was scary to take that final leap but once I did I was so happy not to be wasting any more time. I felt more in control of our infertility. And we all know how "out of control" we feel about not be able to concieve. Besides PCO is an endocrine disorder, and should be treated by and Endocrinologist - whether your trying to concieve or not. Also, I have a question for your gyno. How are you suppose to concieve while on the Pill? Good luck,
-- Cay
