Wow, thanks for the long reply. I feel I should've explained more on my situation. I went through the whole "pulling teeth" thing with my first endo. doctor about 5 years ago, but got him to agree to put me on Metformin, after providing him with all the latest research info. for his review, including a video form Dr. Glueck...he reluctantly agreed. He really didn't care about my PCOS, and never really bothered to do the blood tests to see if it was working etc., needless to say I left him and went onto another Endo. This new doctor was soon instrumental in helping us concieve twins, now almost three years old. I feel confident things have changed since I first took metformin - it now seems to be more widely excepted than 5 years ago. My posting was to get a feel out there as to what sort of battle I was in for .

But I have good news, my GOOD endo. (whom I see on the 11th) states on his website that he does treat with Met. & Actos. wish me luck, thanks again you seem very knowledgable!
