Birth Control Pill questionFrom: Jessica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 1 Mar 2002 18:03:49 -0600 (CST)
Holy smokes. So I'm reading some of these messages now (just realized there was more than one forum) and I saw something about the tri-type BCPs. That's what I'm on. I've been on them for years. I went on them for two reasons. The main being birth control and the second I thought it would be helpful to regulate my cycle. Now my cycle has never been normal but it's also not been anywhere near as bad or crazy as many of you here. Now I'm reading that if diagnosed with PCOS I will probably go OFF these pills? I know it's difficult to get pregnant when you have this condition but the thing is right now at this time I don't want to get pregnant anyway. So I guess I'm wondering for those of you NOT on BCPs now do you use some other kind of birth control? I'm getting used to the terms and names of things by reading these forums and hopefully that will help me when talking to my doctor very soon.
