-- Heather, I am sorry about the frustrations you are going through with your doc, let me share something that happened to me last month, because of a change in insurance, i had to change all of my docs, except my endo, thank god, he's a gem, so i went to a gyn that a friend recommended and told him i had been under treatment for pcos, he totally diregarded all the lab reprts and notes from my former docs and current endo, and said i didn't need a doctor, i needed jenny craig, that there was nothing wrong with me that losing a hundred pounds wouldn't cure,(i am currently about 120 over) I immediatley sought another doc, yours may not be that cruel, but if he is ignoring your concerns, or not taking them seriously, maybe you should make a change. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think that the only time to treat this is when you want to have a baby there are so many long term health affects of this disease. A book that I found helpfull was Living With Syndrome X. It's a book about type 2 diabetes but it has a very informative chapter on pcos. Good luck! Keep some good thoughts. Jen
