Hi, I have been on Metformin and Meridia together for about 2 weeks now
I started the Meridia Feb 12 at 10mg a day, and the Metformin
on Feb 15 at 500mg a day, since then I have lost 12 pounds...
This is exciting for me because no matter what I did before
I never lost weight, I haven't had any problems taking them
together, I will strongly caution anyone taking Metformin
to make sure you eat at the same time you take it, I didn't
once, and I will never do that again, I was sicker than I
have ever been in my life. If you're having a problem with
a slightly metallic taste in your mouth or slightly bad breath
try taking your meds with milk and seperatley from each other
a two hour difference is what my doc recommended to me. As for th
nausea and headaches, I found that if I sat quietly for about
20 to 30 mins after taking my meds it helped with that. Good
Luck, Meridia is wonderful, you'll start to see a result soon
I promise. As for the suggested overweight amount, 100 pounds
or more overweight is considered morbidly, or life threatening
overweight, but my doc says he would give it if a patient was
30 to 60 pounds over and making an honest effort. Hope I helped
Love to you all. Jen
