going crazyFrom: Rachel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Feb 2002 19:33:44 -0600 (CST)
I'm a 31 year old that finally was diagnosed 13 months ago with PCOS... Thank god... after 11 years of doctors telling me I was mearly over weight...(JERKS) Anyway... I've been on 3000 mgs of metformin for 5 monts now after spending a few months on 1000 and then 2000 mgs with little result. 28 DAYS AFTER EACH INCREASE i HAVE HAD A SPONTANIOUS PERIOD, BUT THEN nada!!! I just started Clomid this month (paired with prometrium) And according to the ovulation kits I still havent ovulated... I understand it could take months, but my concern is the Metformin isn't doing what it should. I stopped gaining weight and that seems to be the only benifit. Does anyone else have an issue with this and possibly another solution I could tell my docs about??? I'm so frustrated! Thanks for the help...
