end of the lineFrom: Kel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 20 Feb 2002 21:13:29 -0600 (CST)
Anyone approaching the possibility of hysterectomy? I have one more ovary left and that ovary has already had four cysts removed from it. I am currently on yasmin, but nothing else. My Gyn refuses to do any testing of hormones said it won't tell us anything since I'm on a bcp. However, I am still forming cysts. I have to admit that since I lost my right ovary to massive cysts I have had some positive results to the removal of the ovary ie no more acne, less facial hair, and to not have my so called "spells" from my insulin resistance. However, I have gained weight... Doctor says all I have left is luck. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. I do not want a hysterectomy at 32 even though I have been blessed with two beautiful boys (fertility pills used of course). If I do lose my ovary do I let them take my uterus and fallopian tubes as well? Help!!! I'm afraid I am headed to the operating room again soon as I can feel the pain of another cyst developing already. By the way, out of curiousity how many of you also suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Depression, and Fibromyalgia. Is there any relief for the PCOSers? My life has been one big medical struggle. Thanks for the input and support.
