Well Heather - what a mess! I can completely relate.

For one thing, get off those birth control pills!!! Most of what you've listed are triphasic pills, meaning they have different hormone levels in each week's dosage. This has been shown in trials to make our condition *worse* by stimulating more cysts to form, and often times the hormones in bcps make symptoms worse in us because we already have an imbalance.

Secondly, get a new doctor! go see an endocrinologist who is familiar with PCOS. Ask on the phone about it before you make an appointment! some endos are just as bad as the rest and think if you don't have diabetes, they don't need to treat you.

Check out all the links here and in the archives for more info, do some web searching, and check out insulin resistance as well. But mainly, get a good dr!
