Re: Glucophage XR - Is it worth it?

Hello Kathy,

I have been taking Glucophage XR for about 9 months now. I, too, felt tired but just at first. I don't know if the tiredness has ceased because I take prenatal vitamins or because that "side effect" has worn off. It took about 5 months of being on it to start losing weight, but it is still coming off which is wonderful! Now, I feel better than ever and I attribute most of it to the Glucophage. I remember terrible gastric side effects in the very beginning, but they too ceased after about 2-3 weeks. Now it is just smooth sailing. The other women who have responded have mentioned a vitamin and that really may be key. While it is important to feel good, I would encourage you to give the Glucophage a try. Good luck to you. I know it is so difficult dealing with the MANY components associated with PCOS.
