glucophage and proveraFrom: Stephanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 26 Jan 2002 18:16:42 -0600 (CST)
I've been taking glucophage for a 5 months and just had my 3rd regular period in a row (woohoo!) Does this mean I'm "better" and should consider dropping my meds? I feel like continuing to try getting the benefits of glucophage, mostly weight loss, as I'm still 55lbs. overweight. I've been glancing through some of the earlier messages and I'm wondering if taking provera (which I got a prescription for before my pcos diagnosis) as well as glucophage would potentially aid in weight loss. I am excercising regularly and have lost 2 lbs. in the past year. I haven't taken any provera since I began glucophage, but does anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't take provera as well. I mean I am bleeding regularly now and I don't want to do anything stuipid just to lose weight. Thanks!
