I'm new at this PCOS. I went to the doctor with complaints of sexual disfunction and he dismissed it as mental. he gave me an anti-depressant and sent me away. I then went in to see him a few months later for an un-related problem and he asked hoe "the problem is doing?" told him still the same and he said that he went to a conferance about somthing called PCOS. He asked me to discribe my syptoms in detail. He said that I have 90% of the syptoms for PCOS. he ordered that I fast for 8-10 hours and do bloodwork and see him in 2 weeks. I went to see him and he told me that I do have PCOS and gave me a pricription for Glucopage XR 500 mg. He started me out at 2000 mg a day. I feel awful. I'm so sleepy all the time. I hope that this will go away soon. As for my diet I eat like a dietbetic. I figured since you have these side-affects from PCOS related to being over-weight. I might as well lose all that I can. SO LADIES, MAKE USE OF THIS AWFUL MED AND LOSE WIGHT!
