Re: Glucophage XR

Kathy,

The XR is taken once a day as well--usually with dinner. But the way most doctors prescribe it is beginning at one pill for a week then building up to two then up to three per day (1500 mg). I had little gastro side effects when I began using it if I took it in the middle of dinner.

Some people have experienced weight loss with it. I have had some weight loss (around 13-14 lbs) in 3 months without doing anything different other than the Glucophage. But the changes in the way I feel have been incredible.

So good luck!
