Dear Kevin,I would find another RE to treat your wife. You should NEVER
take Spiro if trying to concieve!!! It causes birth defects with the
male genitals!
I would continue to take the glucophage/clomid..please dont let her take
the spiro..it can only lead to heart break if you have a child with a
deformity from it..Also be careful with the glucophage as well since it
depleats folic acid ..and lack of folic acid can cause other birth
defects such as spina bifida and heart anomolies! She should take at
least 800mg of folic acid a day along with her glucophage. I hope this
helps...and I wish you luck...maybe you can see another RE in the same
office,just ask to switch because your unhappy with the care..try to see
if you can get the other RE that told you NOT to take the spiro as he is
correct!!
