PCOS and Prozac

I've been diagnosed with PCOS for a little less than a year now. I was diagnosed by my regular family doctor. I'm taking hormones to regulate my periods, however, I still have my EXTREME mood swings. My doctor wants to put me on prozac to help with the moodiness. Has anyone else being treated for their exreme mood swings with prozac? Should I get a second opinion? I noticed that some of you have said that Glucophage can help with that. Should I look into this treatment instead? I don't like how easily doctors hand out prescriptions now-days and I don't think that Prozac should have been given to me for my mood swings. Any suggestions?
