Pretty funny, huh? > I have got an even better one. I started having these symptoms at 13, with onset of my period. I went to four differnet ob/gyns through the years. I was told that it was because I was Scotttish, because I was "obesse' (i wiegh a whopping 160, hardly obese), because I was sexually active, because I was depressed, because it is PMS, because I have an STD (nope, never had, never did), and because I did not excersise enough. Finally, I rolled the dice, and got a doctor that told me it was non IR PCOS. But all she could offer were BC pills, which made all my symptoms worse, and made me have a period every other week. I was diagnosed at age 25. Now, I am such a mess...my growth was severly stunted, im hairy, overweight, and scarred from the long years of no treatment and a miscarriage. WHy wouldnt a doctor take my complaints seriously? Why was my health made out to seem like a psychosomatic problem, as opposed to a real issue. How many other doctors do the same to other girls. WHat can be done?
