Lynsey,

Your question about hormonal birth control having an effect on hormonal levels is one I've wondered myself. As I already wrote I've had problems with Deprovera. I've also had difficulty with BCP but not as severely. It's one of the reasons I fought my Gyn about putting me on them to help regulate my cycles. Just plain provera I was willing to accept and if I can find another way I'm all for it. I've had luck using herbs geared towards hormonal regulation rather than anything as a supplimental but I'm considering going back and arguing for the metaformin. The only thing holding me back is the fear of the side affects and the awareness of tending to have negative reactions to medications.
