Constant Migraine Headaches and PCOS

My daughter is 16 years old and has a history of migraine headache. Last August 2001 a migraine headache began which lasted almost 4 months non-stop. After hospitalization and every neurological test you can imagine, I consulted a reproductive endocrinologist for her. A battery of tests confirmed PCOS. The reproductive endocrinologist began monthly injections of Lupron Depot and 1mg of Estrace daily(and calcium). I also consulted another endocrinologist who prescribed 500mg of Glucophage 2X day. After a week on the Glucophage, a miracle! The visual aura ceased, nausea quit, and headache went away. A normal, funny teen excited to return to high school appeared.(She had not been able to see clearly or attend school for a whole semester)We had 3 great weeks with normal life when suddenly, one night, a migraine began again and it has now been 8 days with no let-up. The endocrinologist increased the Glucophage gradually to 1000mg 2X day. After 3 days, so far no improvement. She is still taking the Lupron Depot shots monthly. Any ideas, anyone? Do you think increasing the Glucophage will help? What about D-Chiro-Inositol? I read about how much it helped some women in the trials. Is it available outside of research studies yet and if so, can it or should it be taken while taking Glucophage?

If we don't get the headache stopped and my daughter back in school soon, she will have to repeat a year of high school and not be in the same grade level with all of her friends. Any thoughts or ideas are welcome. THANKS!!!!
